Guest bath COMPLETELY DONE!!!

I'm so excited, b/c I went and got everything to complete the guest bathroom - it's SOOO Cute and I it makes me want to be in there all the time -- hehe!

It's the only room in the house COMPLETELY done....all the other rooms still need to be painted and decorated. Anyways. Before and after pics below ;).

Brant has been working all day in Katy, so I was able to shop, get a new lens, clean and finish the guest bath. Now, I'm going to work on my website and relax. (:

Great Weekend!

We had a fabulous weekend. Got the porch finished, it's looking quite lovely and We LOVE it out there now. It's a lot cooler with it being covered and having a fan in this heat!

We replaced some shingles on the roof that was fun, since we got to be on the roof ;o). I started to paint some of the kitchen and had planned to finish yesterday, but that didn't happen due to the shingle project.

I've also started to give my website I face lift. I'm changing the colors and adding a little extra. It's not done, but since I uploaded some of it to the site, you can see a little of it; however, I believe i'm changing the background compeltely. I'm still messing w/it but hope to have it done soon :o). I really like the new colors I'm using, a lot more fun than the original. When I first did the original I was shooting for straight professionalism and classic. Now I want fun, hip and more me - yay!

Nothing new really...

Not much has been going on. We got the tin for the porch roof, but we're not putting it on until Saturday. I did hang a few things up yesterday, as I found my self wondering around looking for something to do :o). After almost 2 weeks of living there we had our first meal that we actually cooked - hehe - it was yummy [lasagna].

Our Cousin (on Brant's side) Ashley had a baby boy yesterday [Nicholas] The Blackwell gang is excited about that, especially having a boy, b/c the only boys in that family are the ones who married in :o). Can't wait to see the little guy.

It's a 3 day weekend for me - I'm really excited about that. I think I'm going to pain this weekend, so that should be fun! I already painted the guest bath. Now I only have the kitchen, dinning, and master room to complete!

Home Sweet Home

We are LOVING our new home. It's pretty much complete, but b/c we had several 'projects' going this weekend there is a little clutter around....and I needed to my computer today so I could upload pictures I took yesterday of Ali and her friends before Prom. Needless to say, this room looks 'messy', but not too bad :)

95% done!

Yes, we are ALMOST done w/unpacking. I would say 99% of the boxes are unpacked and 95% of the rooms are complete. We still have the garage to completely clear and the 2nd room [a.k.a. Jenn's/my computer Room] still needs to be done, but other than that we're pretty much in! Yay! We are loving it. Tomorrow my dad and Papa Sam are building a covered porch in the back yard, so that's exciting - I say tomorrow - cause I was told that, but we'll see. Brant has to wire the house for internet and I have a few little nick knacks to tackle as well as the garage! I bet come Sunday we'll be done! YAY!

Can't wait for my computer to be up and going, so I can take normal pics and post them. In the mean time here's 1/2 the backyard and the guest/Brant's comp. room - -the BIG red mattress on the ground will not be there, we're actually giving that to Bane and Gabby, but we have to clean out their 'home' 1st before we can put it in there. So, in the mean time it's chillen on the floor and that thing is HEAVY!!!!! Oh, and yes, that's Gabby in the bird bath :o) [thanks to auntie jenn ;o)

More than 1/2 way done!

Well, the Guest Bathroom is complete! That was an easy chore. I still need to get matts for the floors to match, but haven't done that yet :o).

The Kitchen is pretty much done, but we still have miscellaneous boxes and 'stuff' lying around the kitchen, dinning, breakfast and living areas. I hope to have EVERYTHING done this weekend.

The 2nd bedroom (a.k.a. Jenn's room) has NO MORE boxes - yay; however, that's where I'm storing all of our wall hanging and things for now. The 1st bedroom has NO MORE boxes either; however it's a MESS! Well, the side w/Brant's computer PLUS computer JUNK is a mess, but the side w/the bed is perfectly wonderful!

Plus we have the garage - it's not too bad, but it's not great that's for sure. I'm hoping to have everything done by Sunday - we'll see.

Saturday I do get to take a break and take prom pictures of Ali and her friends, I'm excited about that!

Master is complete

I finished, for the most part the Master Bedroom, bathroom and closet.
Of course, we're still painting a lot of the rooms, but not until June and I'm not decorating until after everything is in place, etc. :o). We're LOVING it!!!!

We're home!

Well, the moving went well - tiring, but well! The unpacking, well, that's another story. 3 rooms are pretty much complete, just a few things lying around they don't have a home yet :o).

Now, they rest of the rooms - that's another story. I wasn't able to concentrate all on unpacking as we were already making updates and such that was keeping me occupied.

Brant and I are so excited to see what it'll look like when it's all done and I can't wait to be NORMAL again :o).

TOMORROW is the DAY!!!

We close on the house tomorrow at 9am!!!!!!!!!!! YAY! We're so excited and can't wait. I'm taking the entire day off to close, clean, meet carpet guy, etc, etc. I'm sure i'll post some pics next week of the before, after, etc :o). After I clean tomorrow I may start painting. Oh Boy!!! :o).

BYE BYE to the old house and soon to say HELLO to the new one. It was sad saying bye the the house we completely remodeled and made our home. But, we know we're moving on to bigger and better things. Below are pics of the old place.

All of our loan stuff has been sent to the underwriter, so we should know soon when we can close. We're still pushing for Friday, but that may be too soon :o). ON a good note, we already have $6000 in equity on the house - yay!! :o).

We're OUT!!!!!!

We've moved!!!!!! Well, our stuff has moved and we are at my parents....! I am still tired today!!! I took some pics on my phone :o)

HAIR CUT!!!!!

I'm getting my hair cut today :o). It's already grown since the last time i cut it (which I cut off about 5 inches), so today I'm going short again!!! weee doggie!! I'll have to snap some pics after I get done, but that won't be until tonight.

In the mean time this moving stuff is stressing me out! Apparently we can't move the rest of our stuff straight to Arbor w/out paying $50 a day. We really don't want to pay just to store our stuff in a garage - we can do that free where the other 1/2 is now! So, I'm waiting to see if our buyers will let us wait and move next weekend...which means STEPH, there is STILL a chance of me taking pics - ha!!!! But, I'm not emailing you yet ;o)...hehe! If not, we'll be moving to the barn this weekend THEN turning around and moving back to town - OH BOY!!!!!! What a mess! It was a lot easier going from renting a home to buying than it is for selling then buying!! :o)
