This could be the one....

I went to look at a home today at lunch..... AND....l o v e d it! It's SOOO cute, move in ready, perfect floors, has a little breakfast nook thing which I LOVE and always wanted!!!! big, nice, open floor plan w/ high ceilings, which is nice...We're going back to look tonight (I think), so Brant can see it, since he wasn't able to look during lunch. Here's some of my fave pics...

We're still waiting on Southview, but should know something this week, so that's good.

Let me know what you think...I'd love to hear it!

Semi- Update

Well, We went to look at houses today...I was very excited about this, b/c I knew this time it was FOR REAL! HOWEVER, we haven't made a decision yet for 2 reasons.

1. We're waiting until the 2nd to see what will happens to Southview and

2. We didn't feel that OMGosh, WOW, have to have feeling today....

I did on 1, but I agree it's a little compact, but it's so cute - pretty much the same as Southview minus the sunroom. We will continue to wait on SV and keep a look out on new homes. We may be living in an apartment before we live in our first home together :o) - - which is better than rushing into something.

Here are the 3 homes we looked at today.

Bankside (fave so far)

Woodbriar House...pics are the 'game' room and front :)

Bristol...Currently a 'party house' :)

Countng our Blessings

YAY!

We have a contract!!!!!! They accepted our counter offer and w/in 10 days [being they won't back out] we'll have a full under contract! Were SUPER excited about this and can't wait to find our new home. I'm still waiting [now only 5 days] to see if the Option Contract w/the Southview home will fail, so I can have a shot at it :o). It would happen that 4 days after Souview gets a contract, we get one too :o(.

We will hope for the best and continue to look at other homes this weekend - - yay!

JOYous Day!!!! :o)

What a day I'm having - and - it's ALL good :o)!!!!

We got an offer on the house
- YAY! It's looking good, but we're trying to get it a little higher than what they are asking for.

What does in mean in terms of the Southview(SV) home? Well, there are still 6 days on SV home b/c it's under an OC [option contract]...Sometimes OC's can fail, but majority of the time they follow through into a full "Under Contract" term. We will continue to hope and pray for that one!!

Hopefully we'll know something by tomorrow on our offer! In the mean time, there are still 2 homes out there that we like BUT we're hoping for SV still :o)

The other great news is I got my first stationary shop purchase today :o) - - YAY! Someone actually bought my note cards...How awesome.

All this news came minutes between each other :)
I'll keep you updated....
Thanks for all the prays and support :o)!!!!!!!!

sad sad day....

Well, obviously it's going to be house related....and I'm sure you've guessed it....the house we wanted is now under contract :( ... yes, I know contracts can fail, but we still haven't sold our house. And, of course, the saying is "there is something better for y'all" ok ok...just sad, b/c it really did feel like the perfect home for us. I don't even want to look until we have an offer on our house, but it's really hard. I like to keep up with the daily "new" houses that come about, that's how i found that one.

Oh well, I won't continue to drown over it, but needed to share the news. We will continue to hope and pray for the best.

I have a few new designs I'll post - enjoy!

Will it ever happen???!!!???!!!!

That's the question: Will it ever happen??? OF COURSE it will, I just need to be patient. I, for the most part, am a very patient person....But, when you have this house you absolutely love on the market knowing it's going to go fast, you can't help but to be impatient on the selling of your home :o)....

I will continue to live life as normal. Still no word from anyone; however, we did lower our price a little, so maybe we'll get some lookers that may = offers. One can only hope for the best!

Last night I (Brant was working late) went to eat w/my mother-in-law & Porter family. We had a BLAST! We were definitely the laughing bunch of the night. The reason for getting together on a Wednesday is b/c Tory (Brant's cousin) is getting married 8-1-08 and they literally planned the wedding in 1 day!! WOW- I know...Tory was down for her spring break and they decided to get it all done now! way to go Tory!! Luckily, she has a wedding coordinator who has to do all the hard work now :o)- hehe We're looking forward to the wedding! As well as, Stephanie's and another one in May - - ahh the weddings!

I started a new "hobby" along with my photography - stationary, ect. The reason I want to do this is b/c 1. it's so much fun and 2. it will work so well w/photography shoots. 1 of these posted was a surprise and I wouldn't be able to post it on here, b/c she's a reader BUT I couldn't wait any longer and had to show her - haha!

That's all I have for now...I'll update, of course, if we have any house news. Brant is still doing the same - working, working, working and loving it!

well the good news that wasn't so good news just MAY be good news :o)

haha! I re-read the title of this blog and laughed! After talking to my realtor late yesterday afternoon I found out that the last people who made an offer that wouldn't go any higher - - they are still in the running. Apparently, they may still be interested b/c after their final counter we said nope...they called back, we're just waiting on word....So it's still not good news and who's to say they'll either 1. go up 2. not go up 3. give up or even better 4. give the price we want ;o) - - you just never know in this crazy world of realty.

Last night was not a lot going on - we ate dinner, played a little rock band, I checked some email, played a little more, watched the Bachelor - HAHA - that was funny! Then, we played a little more. We love Rock band, it's energetic and a lot of fun. And well, since the house was pretty clean, I said why not lets play a lot....keeps me from thinking of house stuff, that's for sure!

I leave you now w/some wedding shower pics :)

Happy St. Patty's Day

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!! hope you wore your green ;)

Well...I have no house news, but Bill (our realtor) put some "feelers" out there today, so he said he'd keep up posted on the feedback.

I on the other hand need to keep myself busy busy, so I won't think about any of it...

While I'm at home keeping me (us) busy is the new ROCK BAND we got - - haha! We LOVE it! It's a lot of fun...I took a picture w/my phone and thought I would share the fun...hehe!

Enjoy. I'll update today again only if we have good news. Until then...happy st. patty's day!

Good News was not so good news....

Well....I was off Thursday and Friday for Spring break. I wanted to take my time off cleaning the house, so we could get some buyers. I did a great job and was really excited about all that I accomplished. Well, Someone actually came to look at the house while i was home and I had literally JUST finished cleaning...Apparently they already looked at the house once, and wanted to come and look at it again. As soon as they walked in they asked if we had an offer on it - i replied with a no :(...I could tell they were really interested in it!

Well, about 4:30 the same day (Thursday) we get an OFFER! YAY - I know! BUT, it was a low offer (almost 9K less than what we had it listed for), so we counter back. We're hoping for the best, b/c we're actually going to look at a home today that we really like.

Well, they counter and said they wouldn't go anymore than 2K from their first offer. This is sad for us, b/c we have a set # that we don't want to go under and it's about the 5-6 less than our lowest price :(.

We won't get our hopes yet yet, b/c someone is supposed to come look at the house at 2:30 today...so we will continue to hope for the best. We are still going to look at the house, so I'll attach some pictures of that later :o).

Pictures fromt he house we SOOOOO want to buy, and are thinking of putting an offer in :)...This house felt so good to Brant and I...my parents and grandmother were able to join us to see this home as well :o)

Just a Monday

What a Morning! We got up this AM and it was SOOOO dark....and it's still just as dark outside. Not sure if I like that, having to wake up to darkness, drive in darkness, then see darkness out my window :(...Maybe it's just b/c the weather is bad...we shall see.

I just figured I would take this time to share some of my photography (photog) sessions. I will probably more than likely use this blog for Brant & Jae updates, as well as sharing photog sessions :o)....enjoy....

the journey keeps going...

Well...The House below is under contract...and not by us:(....We still haven't sold our house, but we're still keeping the hope up. I have a feeling (hopefully it's real) that something is coming soon! Will continue to keep you posted on that!

Brant and Jae News:

Brant:
He's been SUPER BUSY with work. I mean, it is so weird to see exactly what kind of hard worker he truly is and the passion he has for it. He loves his job, he loves is boss(es) and he loves his co-workers. He just got a raise - yay - and he's going to be working in both parts of the company...web design and computer technician. We're all excited for him and couldn't be happier for his accomplishments...

Jae:
I had a BUSY BUSY month in February. It was crazy at work and I was always busy, which can be good. Now that it's over, I've had a chance to catch up and relax. I finally had a photog shoot last weekend. It was a windy day, but I got some great shots. This was the first time shooting small children. It was a challenge, but a lot of fun...pictures below :)

Brant & Jae as ONE....Our marriage is even better than before. We're learning life as a married couple as well as learning new things daily. It's a lot of fun and we couldn't be happier.

Have a fantastic Wednesday!
